My workout journey began 1 and a half years ago. That was the first time ever really began working out in a gym really trying to lose weight. I looked in one of the rooms one day and saw some people doing aerobic fitness and it looked very fun and active. Between the great music they were playing to the dance and kickboxing routines they were doing, I became hooked instantly. I’ve enjoyed dancing growing up and also I am an energetic person, so trying to classes out didn’t take much deciding. I tried turbo kick and kick it up and after a few classes, I was hooked. It was a great mix between hard intense work and fun dance moves. I decided that if I’m a go, then I’m a put my all in to it every week. I went to classes 3 to 4 times a week, some days sprint to the gym which was about 3 miles from my house. Also, having others to work out with instead of going in a gym and working out by yourself was great and felt motivating to see a group of people just like me who are going towards a similar goal. Sticking to 3 to 4 days a week and with walking there and water drinking, my weight began to fall dramatically, and within about 13 months I went from 258 lbs to 193 pounds.
