All About Me:
I live outside of Dallas in Farmersville, Texas. I have been married for 3 years and we have 3 sons. 11,13,and 14. Lots of testosterone in my home. My love and I met through church during a hard time in my life. He was a good friend while I was going through surgeries and then chemo and radiation. Treated me with gentleness and most importantly prayed with me. He is a business owner also doing restoration and collision repair. My oldest son likes to skate board, play baseball and football. I enjoy watching football with him and really like watching him play! My middle son is a hidden musician. If you listen closely through his door you can hear him practice. He is the introvert and I enjoy getting a hug from him. My baby, or my youngest is an intelligent little one. Well, not so little anymore. He enjoys reading. Out of all of them you can have a pretty intelligent and deep conversation with him. I enjoy my talks with him even if sometimes I have to Google what his words mean. ;) I am a business owner of Rock Fitness Camp, which is under Sgt Body Killer LLC. I enjoy spending time with my husband hiking, exploring, holding hands, free falling, traveling, and making good beer. Watching my boys do tricks and talking to them is fulfilling to me. Love watching them react to one another in the silly things they do.
When did you start your fitness journey?
I have always had an interest in fitness growing up. When I served in the Army and they put me in charge of physical fitness is when it really sparked my interest. I always had a passion for fitness and knew the importance of fitness being part of everyone's lifestyle. It's when I started working out at Lady of America in 2003 and got approached to become a certified turbo kick instructor, I thought ok maybe I can do this. I hesitated, I didn't believe I could get in front of people and make them workout. I finally agreed when one of the producers and gym manager told me they would sponsor me to do it. In 2009, I started working in sales at Lady of America. I then got my National Academy of Sports Medicine personal training certification and taught weight resistance, cardio classes, boot camps, and personal training. I worked for LA Fitness part time In 2010 and me and a friend created Rock Fitness !! Rock Fitness is where I could put my total passion into. I can care about my clients and not worry about a corporate gym policies. It's been FANTASTIC!!! :) I am now a Certified Calisthenics Trainer and Fitness Expert for Dr. Nicholson Clinic, which is a weight loss doctor. I am also, a MoveMoreFitness Ambassador. MMF has really been an encouraging community. I needed this in my life. To be surrounded by people who love to inspire others to Do More and Move More!
What is your favorite workout? My favorite workout varies. It changes all the time. Right now my favorite is what my clients are calling a Rocket Workout. I posted it last month. I like playing around with it and adding things to it. :) Pull ups, handstands, and inversions are always at the top of my list! I aim to educate, inspire, and motivate others about fitness. We all have a purpose in life. Our purpose becomes easier to do when we are fit and healthy!!! Fitness with Purpose!!
What inspires you to Move More and Do More?
My inspiration to keep on doing more and moving more comes from my clients. I know they look to me to be the example. I have to lead by example and educate them on how to make fitness a lifestyle.
